PV310 Hardware

The PV310 has the most powerful hardware of all Panasonic compact systems. It is the basis for the high checking speed of the system.
The hardware meets the strict Panasonic quality requirements. This ensures long-term problem-free operation. The numerous interfaces enable flexible deployment in various systems and therefore offers you high investment security.
System overview

Cameras for all application purposes
The PV310 supports three camera types:
  • Finger camera: The new finger camera only has a diameter of just 12 mm and can therefore fit into the smallest of gaps. (available from Winter 2006).
  • Double-speed camera: With an imaging time of just 8.3 ms, this camera is optimally suited to the high speed of the PV310..
  • Standard camera: Offers excellent price-performance ratio for all current applications.

Up to four cameras can be connected
Up to four identical cameras can be connected to a PV310 with the aid of a camera switching unit. This has several advantages: You save costs as only one evaluation unit is required and the results from all cameras can be centrally processed.

Universal interfaces
In order to easily adapt the Micro-Imagechecker to existing systems, it comes with numerous interfaces:
  • 27 digital opto-decoupled inputs/outputs (NPN, PNP)
  • Ethernet connection for transmission of images and measured values or for rapid backup
  • RS232 interface for simple data output
  • Modules for connecting Bus systems (e.g. Profibus) are also optionally available

Support for various PLC protocols
The programming output for connecting to a PLC is significantly reduced by the direct support of various PLC protocols (e.g. Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen Bradley).

CompactFlash memory card
The PV310 can save images, screenshots, measured values and projects onto generally available CompactFlash cards. A 512MB card provides place for over 2000 images or several thousand projects. The card can be used to easily transfer images and data to a PC for documentation.
