The A4F connector is the world's thinnest* two-piece connector for low profile applications. Besides the ultra-low profile, the connector also provides Tough Contact construction.

This may have been what Panasonic Electric Works' engineers were thinking when they created the Tough Contact, which is now implemented in the latest innovative product of Panasonic Electric Works: the A4F ultra-low profile connector.
Tough Contact is the name given to connector technology that combines V-Notch, bellows and double contact construction and a Ni barrier to create the most reliable connector available on the market.
A "Tough Contact" toughens the connector, making it resistant to damage resulting from dropping, foreign particles, flux, solder rise and corrosive gases!
The ultra-thin 0.6mm profile narrow pitch connector is designed for board-to-board and board-to-FPC connection, where space is increasingly limitied and a reliable connection a must.
