The A210 Multi-Checker has a huge variety of inspection functions, so you can be sure that you will always be able to find something suitable for your application. The most important procedures are listed in brief below.

|
2D measurement
|
|
Several advanced image processing functions enable precise and fast measurement of product dimensions, e.g. distance, thickness, angle, radius, etc. These functions can be adjusted individually in only a few steps and offer a measurement resolution of up to 1/10 pixel.

|
|
Position detection
|
|
Smart Matching or Feature Extraction checkers are used if the product's position needs to be detected, e.g. its transitional or rotational displacement. This orientation data can be sent to any external device, e.g. a pick&place robot.

|
|
|
Sorting / counting
|
|
With only one inspection window, it is possible to sort objects on the basis of their geometrical characteristics. Features such as area, perimeter, center of gravity can be efficiently extracted.

|
|
|
Assembly checking
|
|
Assembly checking is one of the most common tasks in image processing. Imagecheckers offer several ways of safely detecting the presence of parts, even under difficult lighting conditions and when positioning is inaccurate.

|
|
Surface checking
|
|
The A110 and the A210 are able to inspect surfaces and edges for scratches, cracks, cavities, chips and flaws.
|
|
|
|
Matching
|
|
Based on standardised grey-scale correlation processing, this easy-to-handle tool checks the orientation of objects (X/Y and angle) and other characteristics, e.g. shape, print, chips, etc. Reference images are compared to the actual camera image and possible variations are output.

|
|
OCR software package
|
|
|
|
Character inspection
|
|
The character recognition function of "A230 OCR" has special filtering procedures available that ensure safe reading even with image interference or fluctuating character thickness. Two common character sets are already integrated so they no longer have to be learned. Of course you can add other fonts at any time.

|
Imprint checking
|
|
The smart-matching function of the A200 makes it easy to monitor imprints for errors such as blurred or incomplete areas, colours that are too light or too dark, or incorrect positions. This sensitive checker can detect errors the size of a single pixel.
